Biography |
Marjorie Turnbull (b. 1934) is a Canadian painter and printmaker known for her vibrant and dynamic works that capture the energy of the natural world. She received her early training at the Banff School of Fine Arts, where she earned the Brewster Award. Turnbull later studied at the Universities of Alberta and Saskatchewan, before graduating with Honours in Printmaking from the Emily Carr School of Art and Design. She also completed postgraduate work in the field, further refining her skills and techniques. Turnbull is a Signature Member and Past President of the Federation of Canadian Artists, where she is also an Honourary Life Member. She regularly teaches painting and printmaking from her studio in Coquitlam, BC. Her work is held in numerous public, private, and corporate collections in Canada, the United States, Europe, and Australia including the Burnaby Art Gallery, Alberta Art Foundation, and Port Moody City Hall. |
